I recently visited the lovely homes at Rose Creek in Fall Creek. Fall Creek itself has incredible community amenities. Golf and the short commute to downtown Houston are the two big ones.  They also feature a 10 acre aquatic center, which includes a six lane junior Olympic pool, fountains, slides and waterfalls. For the nature lovers there are also hiking trails, parks and tennis courts. The icing on the cake is Humble ISD.

Mangia Pasta and Pizza in Kingwood,TX-Great Restaurant

My husband and I went on our Sunday quest for great food in the Humble/Kingwood area.  Boy—did we sure find it.  Mangia Pasta is located in the old Pasta Company restaurant at 4590 Kingwood Drive.  We drove by many times and did not stop due to the fact that we thought it was going to taste like Pasta Company.  Well, it clearly doesn’t.  We shared he “Insalata Della Casa” or the house salad.  It has baby greens, caramelized walnuts, creamy gorgonzola cheese, tomatoes, and fantastic special dressing.  Next we ventured to the good old fettuccine alfredo, which ranks up there  in out top 5.  It has their house specialty Parmesan cream sauce on the noodles.  We added shrimp, but it would have been just as good without it.  We also treated ourselves to their homemade Italian bread pudding.  It was the best bread pudding we have ever had.  It is made with brioveli bread, thin slices apples, and orange zest and cooked in a cream sauce.  It is a must have.  They were out of the creme brule, so we will have to go back.  Where else do they serve creme brule in Kingwood?

As a real estate agent, I will take my clients there in the future and will not be disappointed. It is a great addition to Kingwood.

Eagle Springs: Highland Homes, Humble ISD

Eagle Springs is located approximately 21 miles north of downtown Houston in Humble,TX. It is not only a great location for many reasons, but is sectioned off to Humble ISD.  Highland homes is primarily a mostly custom builder, but has offered their expertise and have made it possible for families to own a fine quality home for less than a custom price.  They start from the $180,000’s and offer one and two story floor plans.  The community offers a 15 acre sports complex center with a recreation center.  The hike an bike trails make it easy to catch a breath of fresh air, while keeping in shape.
